Simple ways to stay cool with your Devola air conditionerUpdated 2 months ago

How to keep your room cool during warmer weather

Keeping your room cool during warmer days and evenings can help improve comfort and sleep quality — especially when using an air conditioning unit. Here are some practical tips to help you get the best results:

🪟 Keep blinds and curtains closed during the day

Direct sunlight can quickly increase the temperature inside your room. Keeping blinds, curtains, or shutters closed during the warmest parts of the day can help reduce heat build-up and keep the space cooler for longer.

🌙 Open windows and doors in the evening

Once the outside temperature begins to drop, open internal doors and external windows to encourage cooler air to circulate through your home.

This can help remove trapped warm air and naturally cool the room before bedtime.

❄️ Cool the room before going to sleep

For the best balance of comfort and efficiency, run your air conditioning unit for approximately 2–3 hours before bed to cool the room down in advance.

By bedtime, the room should feel more comfortable for sleeping without needing to run the air conditioner continuously overnight.

🔄 Consider using an air circulator

Air circulators are a great way to keep cool air moving around the room after your air conditioner has been switched off.

Benefits include:

  • Quieter overnight operation
  • Lower energy usage compared to running air conditioning continuously
  • Improved airflow and circulation throughout the room

Using an air circulator alongside your air conditioning unit can help maintain a comfortable temperature for longer.
